About Jenny C. Smith

Jenny is a Georgia native. She is a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Emory College of Emory University, and a 2005 graduate of Duke University School of Law. At Duke, she focused her studies on criminal law and constitutional law, and completed a semester at the Institute in Transnational Law in Geneva, Switzerland. She also gained hands-on experience through clinical study and work in conjunction with the Innocence Project, as well as through law-related volunteer work in Durham, North Carolina.

Having previously worked as a prosecutor, an assistant public defender, and an appellate judicial staff attorney, Jenny has handled hundreds of cases and has a first-hand understanding of every part of the criminal justice system. She draws on this experience to advocate effectively for her clients in trial-level and appellate practice.
